Jewels are the currency of FTRPG and may be used to be spent on building guilds and buying items to power up your Mage. This is to be left at 0, and will be edited for you when you gain Jewels from jobs, special events, spend them in the shop, or build guilds etc etc. Like in life, Jewels may be borrowed or even given away between members. In this case, simply inform the leaders of the exchange and the changes to your amount of Jewels will be made accordingly.
